A Big "Si" of Relief
He's here! Silas Thoma Dowdy was born Saturday, August 26 at 6:17am--a healthy 9 lbs 1oz, 23 inch boy. The delivery was relatively fast for going natural--Faith went into labor Friday night at 8pm and we headed to the hospital around 1:30am that night.
We're still in awe and exhaustion over the whole ordeal--labor, delivery, our first day, our first night, etc. I won't go into any more specific details right now, but would love to if anyone has any specific questions. In the meantime, here are some of his first photos:

This is literally within the first 2 minutes of his birth.

Congratulations! I love the name but I can't believe you dressed him in tye-dye. He's one lucky little kid.
A group and I are writing doing a project about the World Hunger Farm for a Social Work class, HBSE II, so I may be in touch with you about that.
YIPPEE!!! CONGRATS!!!! praying for you guys as you find your groove as a family of three. :)
Congrat!
Congrats, Julie spoke with Faith the other evening, just wanted to add my bit. Preplanning the tye-dye wardrobe confirms that you and Faith will be EXCELLENT parents.
congratulations!! we're so excited for you guys. sorry we didn't get to see you guys pre-silas, but it'll be more fun to visit with you guys now that silas is around.
I'm still a little disappointed that he didn't stick to the schedule I planned for y'all, but.. congratulations!! Keep posting pictures.
